Fantastic Purchase - Dune Wool Charcoal

Really, really nice rug! Great weight. It will slide without a pad, but holds well if there's furniture on top. Color is lovely -- a touch cool blue but pretty darn charcoal in my opinion. No shedding that I would consider unusual from a wool rug. Nice and soft! And super similar to the Arvin Olano Speckled Wool Rug at a fraction of the price (I have one in my bedroom). I'm so impressed with this purchase! I wish I needed more rugs lol I would buy it again. Pardon the messy room but hopefully the rug shines through in the pic :)

Dune Wool Charcoal Rug

I purchased the 9x12 which is 1/2" thick. I did not buy a rug pad, but will need to as it moves easy whenever I move the Ottoman. It is a perfect charcoal color, no blue undertone. Matches my curtains perfectly! Love it!

I want to start off the review by saying the shipping was insanely fast. The way it was shipped was not as good. It was wrapped in a thin plastic sheet and two pieces of tape to hold the rug together and there was holes in the packing where the rug was hanging out. But it held up in transport without completely busting open which is good.
The rug is pretty heavy and super beautiful. I would say the one in the photo is significantly darker looking but this rug is still absolutely stunning. It is more of a rich caramel warm brown color with a subtle blackish brown striping throughout the whole thing. The pile is beautiful and the rug itself is so beautiful. I'm actually glad it wasn't as dark and is what it is because it is beautiful. I can't wait to buy more!

We absolutely love this rug-- we were going to buy from a different store (NK) that boasts high-quality wool rugs, but went with rugs499 and are very pleased. It arrived fast, is great quality, and looks amazing. It did have the smell that some have mentioned, but with windows open, etc. it's been going away over time.
